I have compiled a list of inspirational and educational books that may help you to kick butt with online marketing. These books can help you plan and execute social media tactics for your own personal brand or business. You can fast track your skills, grow and manage your own community, learn the ins and outs of Facebook, Twitter, Blogsphere and much more.
Some are fairly warm off the press and a few are on the top of my own “to read” list ( e.g., Trust Agents, Aug 09 and Putting the Public Back in Public Relations, Mar 09 ).Uncategorized | Tags: blogging tips, blogworld, blogworld books, blogworld recommended books, new media expo, online marketing books, social media | Comments (11)
Welcome. This is the formal launch of Seed The Web blog under it’s own stand alone domain (www.seedtheweb.com).
I’ll give you a little backgrounder of why I started this blog…
I was previously working at Sitemasher as the Online Marketing Director and contributed to a blog under their domain. I loved sharing what I learn within the online marketing world (like search engine optimization, social media , paid search, etc). Since I am no longer working there (cut backs unfortunately), I wanted to keep up with my posts. So I built this blog and it is technically a continuation of what I already started. But what I want to do different, is REALLY commit myself to more consistent posts.Uncategorized | Tags: online marketing tips, search engine optimization, seo audit, social media | Comment (0)
Last weekend I attended the Blogworld Expo in Las Vegas. It was a great event to gain an understanding of social media, such as micro blogging, external blog commenting, social media interaction, social media tagging, video, and much more.
One of the many seminars I attended was “Generating Traffic Through Social Media: 5 Strategies” by Don Crowther (from http://www.stompernet.com/). He was the most exciting presenter of the three days!Uncategorized | Tags: blogworld, blogworld expo, social media, tubemogul | Comment (1)
Just last weekend, I attended Blogworld Expo in Las Vegas (poor me!). I think the conference could have been called “Social Media World” instead. It was a great event to understand social media overall (i.e., micro blogging, external blog commenting, social media interaction, social media tagging, video and much more).
One of the many seminars I attended was “How to Seduce Your Tribe and Create Raving Fans” presented by Deborah Micek (http://www.tribalseduction.com/) – she was a ball of fire and passion!Uncategorized | Tags: blogworld, blogworld expo, deborah micek, social media, tribal seduction | Comment (0)
Twitter has been around and popular in the U.S. for more than a year with millions of users. The iPhone is coming to Canada in a few weeks and I am sure Twitter will become more mainstream and adopted in Canada. Why? Because the iPhone can host the already popular Twitter application, it can be integrated with your Facebook and your blog, and it is very accessible to input your tweets anywhere, anytime.Uncategorized | Tags: blogging, facebook, online marketing, social media, twitter, twitter tips | Comment (1)
